⚠️ SCAM ALERT: FAKE RFQ FROM “B. BEREND” AT THE DEPARTMENT OF TRADE, INDUSTRY & COMPETITION

South African businesses are being targeted by a fraudulent tender scam impersonating Balebogeng Berend from the Department of Trade, Industry & Competition (the dtic). The email requests quotations for an XTC900 Laminating Machine—but it's part of a well-known fake procurement scheme.

🚫 DON’T FALL FOR IT

This is a classic "fake RFQ" scam. The scammers want you to buy the machine from a bogus supplier they control, then disappear after payment. Always verify all procurement requests.
