🚨 RED FLAGS TO IDENTIFY THIS SCAM

  • 🔍 Fake domain: Real government emails end in .gov.za, not .org or unfamiliar domains like labourtendersuppliersa.org.

  • ⚠️ Encourages you to outsource products — a common tactic in “supplier referral” scams.

  • ⏰ Urgent deadline: Pressures you to act quickly to bypass due diligence.

  • 📎 Fake RFQ documents: Usually forged using official logos and formatting to seem credible.

❗ HOW THE SCAM WORKS

  1. You send a quotation.

  2. They “approve” it and tell you to order from a recommended supplier.

  3. The supplier is a fraudulent entity.

  4. Once payment is made, goods are never delivered — and the scammers disappear.
